Is Rejuran the same as salmon DNA?
Rejuran's polynucleotides are sourced from salmon — that's where the 'salmon DNA' nickname comes from. The source is purified and sterilised to pharmaceutical standards; the finished product is a standardised polynucleotide serum, not raw DNA. Safe for patients without a fish allergy; severe fish allergy is a contraindication we screen for.
How many sessions do I need?
A series of 3 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart is the standard starting protocol. Most Manhattan patients then maintain with one session every 3–6 months. Some concerns (significant texture damage, acne scarring) may benefit from a longer initial series.
What's the downtime?
Mild redness and pinpoint marks for 24–48 hours. Most patients return to work the next day and can wear makeup after 24 hours. You'll leave with a cooling mask and detailed aftercare instructions.
Does Rejuran hurt?
With prescription-strength topical numbing applied for 20–30 minutes before treatment, most patients describe the session as mild pressure rather than pain. Sensitive zones (under eyes, around mouth) are the most sensitive but still well tolerated.
Can I combine Rejuran with Botox, filler, or PRF?
Yes. Rejuran addresses skin quality; Botox addresses dynamic lines; filler addresses volume; PRF addresses delicate-zone regeneration. The treatments are complementary and routinely layered. Combination planning happens during consultation.

Who should not get Rejuran?
Rejuran is not recommended for patients with active infection in the treatment area, severe fish allergy, pregnancy, or those on blood thinners without physician clearance.
